Deadlines to Apply for Self Directed Artist Residency!
October 1, 2025 for dates between January 1, 2026 - June 30, 2026 self directed residencies
March 1, 2026 for dates between July 1, 2027 - December 31, 2027 self directed residencies
Please include in your application:
Preferred dates, length of residency - week or month long and be sure to include if you would like half or the full studio space.
500 words that describes what your project is - include the materials you will be using, if you require access to research your project (connection to local archives or community) if you have any activities planned in the space and equipment requirements.
If you are looking to book a group of creatives - please include what you will be creating and how may people will be in attendance (this is for those who scrap-book/ quilt /knit!)
Include up to 10 images of your work OR your website OR your social media link

STUDIO RENTAL for MAKERS - Studio #1 or Studio #2
Are you an artist or creative maker looking for short-or long-term studio rental? Listen Studios offers a sanctuary to rekindle relationships with nature and your artistic practice. All rates include use of folding tables, chairs, lights and access to basic tools, communal kitchen, washroom and sinks. Rental rates include heat, water and WiFi.
OPTION 1: $150/ month This rate includes small cupboard to store materials, have access to the space and equipment .
OPTION 2: $250 / month This rate includes portable cupboard along with art storage in the closet or on the drying racks.
OPTION 3: DAILY / WEEKLY / MONTHLY Rates These rates are available for self-directed studio residencies - send me a message if you would like to discuss cost options for weekly or monthly rentals.
REDUCED RATES!! Commit to book for one year - take $25 off the monthly rental!
Required Damage deposit will be equal to one month rental. Contact me if you are a low income, marginalized artist for scholarship information!
STUDIO RENTAL for EDUCATORS - Studios #1 and 2
Are you looking for space to share your knowledge and skills? Listen Studios offers a space to get messy and experiment in!
This space can accommodate up to 20 people MAX, seated. All rates include use of folding tables, chairs, lights and access to basic tools, communal kitchen, washroom and sinks. Rental rates include heat, water, wifi, and storage costs for artworks to dry.
OPTION 1: $150 for day or evening workshop or event (48 hour rental)
OPTION 2: $275 for two day or evening workshop or event
REDUCED RATES!! Commit to book 6 workshops in a year, take 10% off of all 6 of the rentals! Send me a message and be sure to include:
For Educators: a workshop / creative / maker space to teach adults and/or youth (include ages). Please include time for prep and clean up, up to 500 word description about what you would like to teach and up to 5 images of your artwork and/or student artwork that you have taught.
For Everyone: an event space to gather for public presentations IE: music, reading or dramatic performance, paint, craft or scrap booking nights.
For Everyone: an event space to gather for private events IE: show friends and family photos of a recent trip or use of the space to experiment with art making techniques with friends and family or you want a space to gather in
Required Damage deposit will be equal to rental fee. Contact me for a quote associated with the advertising and booking of your workshop on the LISTEN website and social media handles.
